Our hands-on training program focuses on the skills today's salons are looking for, giving students the confidence and experience needed to thrive in the beauty industry.
From precision haircuts and modern coloring techniques to styling, texture services, and client consultations, students receive real-world salon training from experienced instructors and industry professionals. Through partnerships with leading brands including Schwarzkopf Professional, Kevin Murphy, and R+Co, students gain exposure to professional products, advanced techniques, and the latest industry trends.
At Elevate Academy, education goes beyond the classroom. Students regularly learn from guest educators, salon owners, platform artists, and beauty industry leaders through exclusive demonstrations, hands-on workshops, networking events, and salon meet-and-greets. Additional educational opportunities may include hair extensions, Brazilian Blowout services, special occasion styling, updo design, social media marketing, retailing, and business-building strategies to help students succeed behind the chair.

Program details & state requirements
The Hair Stylist program at ELEVATE ACADEMY is designed to equip students with the essential skills, safety judgment, proper work habits, and positive attitudes necessary for entry-level positions in hair styling and related fields. The program consists of 40 credit hours of instruction, blending theoretical knowledge with practical skill development to meet the licensure requirements of the Office of Barber and Cosmetologist Licensing.
In the Basic Freshman curriculum, students must complete both the theory and practical components of each exercise before participating in laboratory activities. Upon graduation, students receive a certification that prepares them for their careers.
Classes are taught by ELEVATE ACADEMY instructors or industry-specialized contractors, ensuring a comprehensive educational experience. The program effectively integrates theory and practice throughout. All examinations are conducted in English, and students are required to respond in English. Additionally, all educational activities, including classroom instruction and clinic floor training, are delivered exclusively in English.
